Cruise ships are known for their vast amounts of unlimited food served almost around the clock. The quality, selection, and availability varies with each cruise line. However, there are some common things about cruise ship dining that pertain to almost every ship. These will be listed but keep in mind that there are always exceptions.
Snacks, grill time, and the dining room provide unlimited food for in-between-meal-time treats. Dinner is usually formal. The ship’s dining room offers better quality in food and service so it is recommended that cruise passengers choose the dining room.
At dinner time, guests are assigned seats at certain tables. (Before cruising, passengers select whether they want to sit at a small, medium, or large table in the dining room.) This is a great way to meet other passengers. Read more about cruise ship dining.
