Content is key on website and website pages
You have spent lots of time on the graphics and photographs at your website, networking page, and/or blogs. Just the right background, colors, and photography should do the trick. Your potential visitors and connections will simply be WOW’ed and they’ll stay logged on and take action, correct?

Only in your online dreams!
The reality is that the CONTENT of your site and pages is the most important thing to visitors. This means that the WORDS you use and how you use them are more important than the graphics and photographs. Even if you are a photographer or an artist, the text (particularly the headline and subheads) will help your readers decide if they want to find out more. The words will help you to stand out amongst all the others. There’s lots of competition out there. It only takes a few seconds to keep ‘em or lose ‘em.
So it’s not about the pretty face, it’s what’s inside. It’s about the writing… the web copy writing which is geared to capture the attention of the online user and the search engines. An easy-on-the eye presence is very important as photography, images, and graphics serve an important purpose yet words that are strategically written and placed is even more important.
www.craigslist.org and www.wikipedia.org are sites that work despite their plain faces. The content, words, text (personality) outshines.
